The summer months are prime traveling time for families now that the kiddos are out of school. With trips to the beach, the mountains, and everywhere in between, it’s an exciting time, and you and your family should enjoy every minute of your vacation together.
If you’re the packer of the family (also known as Mom), however, making sure everyone has all of their belongings can be extremely overwhelming. Sure, remembering everything you need is simple, but trying to remember four- or five or six- sets of everything for everyone is not an easy task.
Thanks to the “normal routine,” toiletries are often the last-packed item and, as a result, the most forgotten. Keep this handy to avoid forgetting the little things that you use daily, and protect your smile to ensure those great family vacation photos by remembering to pack the following items:
- A toothbrush for each person
- Toothpaste
- Floss
- Extra bottles of water (especially if you’ll be spending time outside during your vacation)
- Mouthwash
- Sugar-free gum (especially helpful for “popping” ears when traveling by air)
Just remember to pack these items for each person traveling and you’ll have great smiles in your vacation photos for years to come! Also, with the kids out of school, now is a great time to get them in to see the dentist for a cleaning and checkup. If you or your kids are due for an exam, call Dr. Corbet Locke, a Waco family dentist, at (254) 776-4888.
